Get the installation inspected
It is not finished without the report.
A new electrical installation in Belgium needs an approved body to pass it first.
Belgium requires a new or substantially modified electrical installation to be inspected by an approved body and found compliant before it is put into service. Clients frequently do not know this, which makes it easy for a contractor to finish, invoice and leave the inspection as somebody else's problem — and the owner discovers it when selling, insuring or claiming.
The same pattern applies to permits and asbestos. Starting before a permit is granted saves a fortnight and risks the commune stopping the site; stripping a pre-2001 building without an inventory saves a day and can contaminate the house. Both are decisions a contractor makes on the client's behalf, usually without telling them.
And finishes fail from underneath. Tiles crack because a screed was still drying or because a long run had no movement joints, not because the tiles were poor. Measuring moisture and waiting is unglamorous, invisible in the finished room, and the difference between a floor that lasts and one that lifts in a year.
